UK Premiere Of "THE OSBOURNES" Pulled Over "Contractual Difficulties"
May 16, 2002The UK premiere of The Osbournes has been pulled just days before its scheduled debut because of "contractual difficulties", according to MTV. It was due to air on Sunday, May 19th.
According to guardianunlimited.com, the problem is over fees Ozzy Osbourne and his family have been demanding for a second series. Negotiations are said to have now entered a third week with Osbourne demanding $20 million for the series, to be set in his Buckinghamshire mansion.
"Due to contractual issues that have yet to be resolved, we are not going to be launching The Osbournes on MTV this weekend," a spokesperson for the pay TV channel said, adding "The show will be getting its UK premiere on MTV in the next couple of weeks," she added.
